My hubby and I were invited to A wedding the invite reads "southern Black- tie???" Huh?
Is that any different then black tie? does hubby have to wear a tux?

I would call and ask the bride what it means. It may mean the top half of a tux and really nice jeans and cowboy boots. That was popular a few years ago and that is the way they went to prom it was pretty popular among the country crowd but I dont really know for sure

No tuxs with "southern black tie" Wear somthing sort of dressy. Boots would be fine. The black tie means dressy. It don't have to be a suit. A dressy looking out fit. Apparently the wedding party does not like tuxs and may not like suits. They want to dress up being a wedding but not too dressy. Boots would be better than dress shoes.
