High, because it offers more opportunities for jobs, education, socialising and culture. The more people live in your "catchment area", the more choices you have. Also, I hate driving.
It's a myth that high density places are always noisy and polluted. For instance, I found that central Amsterdam was a lot more quiet than many low density suburbs I've been to. It's just a matter of finding them.
Ideally it would be a combination of high and low, eg. a dense city surrounded by a national park or mountains. Zurich, Switzerland is a place like that. It has the highest quality of life in the world according to a study by Mercer.

High density! In a nice loft or condo downtown where all the action and life is. Everything in walking distance. I can go to the clubs and not have to woryy about driving home drunk. Just a hell of a lot more to do. In the sucky burbs youre stuck 10 miles from anything. Dullsville.

Right now- high. I need the busy, hectic lifestyle or I get lost and fall. I need people around me to remind me I'm not alone. I need to be engulfed in all the life I can while I'm still capable of living. I need action, I need noise, I need life...
In the future though- when I've found what I need- what I'm looking for out of all this- maybe then I'd go in a low destiny setting with the ones I love and settle down. But not yet...I'm still searching.

Medium. I lived in Boston for a while. It was way too crowded. The "country" atmosphere freaks me out. I don't like people with teeth missing. Now I live in Kansas City. It's just right. Not too big, not too small.

Well considering I live in NYC, I don't have much of a choice! My family is from upstate NY, but, I don't mind the 25 million people that live here.

Medium.
I live in Austin, Texas, which is about right, but I grew up in Los Angeles, which is way too big. But country living is just too far from services, friends and so on.
