Any type of dog is ok for me except for german sheperds, I've had a bad experiance with them. All dogs are beautiful and are just like tiny human friends who listen to you when no one else does so I really want one! Please help me deciding, if you can provide a explanation please. Thank you very much.

The best way to find a good dog for you is go see them...meet them whether it be in a shelter or at a breeder. The one that you connect with or feel is special should be yours!!

You have to interact with them to se their personalities...the best dog I have ever had I found on the internet...petfinder.com ... and I wne to a park to meet her and she took to me immediately...I adopted her the next day and she has not left my side in the four months that I have had her (I own a business that allows me to take her with me everywhere)

You need a Friend, dogs are not humans they are dogs. People who have problems with their dogs are the ones who treat dogs like kids or people. This although good for your ego is not good for the dog. Dogs are pack animals they value leadership and discipline, otherwise they will end up as your leader and that's where most k-9 people problems start. Don't get a dog just to have someone to talk to they need care training and exercise if they are to live happy healthy lives. Dogs are a lot of responsibility and not fuzzy human friends who will listen to you. Because if you treat them like that the last thing they will do is listen to you.

How about a Corgi... They are smaller dogs but not annoying and very smart! If you like bigger dogs maybe a Red bone? Do you have time for a long haired dog or do you prefer a short hair dog?

I just got a ****-zu Poodle 4 months ago. And I love him so much, he is so well behaved, and listens very well, it took him no time to potty train him. He is scared of things, but that is because he is so little. I think a small dog is good they are a little bit easier to handle. I had a bigger dog, a shepard/Lab and she was WAY to hyper. Good luck with choosing a new dog!!

Go to a shelter and have a look at the dogs there, many of them will be purebreds. Or attend a dog show to see which breed you like.

You should get a whoodle. It's a mix of a wheaten terrier and a poodle. They are adorable, and don't shed. I have one, and she always listens. She is about 40 pounds, and isn't too tall. I have heard from other people who have them that they are all great dogs.

I can't say from the information you provided what the best dog for you is. However, I can recommend taking the test at www.petfinder.com. It helps determine which dog will best meet your needs/wants.

I would choose a mongrel every time. Many pedigrees have health problems, are expensive etc.

I would also choose to rescue on from a dog home.

We have always rescued our dogs...somehow they seem grateful to at last have a home they can rely on.

Mongrels are known for their friendliness and adaptability.

Hope that helps.
