I don't think it's too hard to figure out which answer is sincere and which is junk. Take a pencil, scribble down answers and then research them. Even an old warhorse like myself is fully capable of making mistakes, no matter how hard I try not to, so take what we give and look it up.

President Ronnie Reagan said it best, trust....but verify!
There are a couple of "regulars" to the "Aircraft" area that really know what they are talking about...JetDoc, Av8trxx(who seems to be MIA at the moment.) I would add to that list piloteric2004, a newcomer (Jan '07)that has impressed me ALOT with his aviation knowledge and the way he conveys his message. I bet he is a GREAT Flight Instructor(more importantly, a teacher). This is by no means a complete list of folks that know there stuff, but just an example of ones that you can believe.
I would like to think I have something meaningful to add, but
admittedly, still learning as well.
Do you have a specific question regarding GA ?

Aviation questions are better asked in aviation forums, or at aviation training sessions, especially if the answers will be acted upon in the aviation field.
They should not be left to general discussion, where some well meaning person may give erroneous answers.

Take it for what it's worth. Remember... it is the Internet and people can say anything about anything and claim it as fact. I mean look at CNN, Fox News, my own blog... get real. If you want specific answers then you need to speak with someone in the aviation industry and still maintain a healthy dose of skepticism.

Ask all you want, but make sure you have a current copy of the Federal Aviation Regulations and the Airman's Information Manual. And study them. Follow them regarding requirements for ground school and real-life training and practice.
(Unless you're not in the US. In that case, you have your own rules and bureaucracy.)
Information and ideas from other pilots are always great, and I've seen some good answers in this forum, but you are the ultimate judge. You, as PIC, have sole responsibility.
Soft landings....

The amount of misinformation I see on Yahoo Answers astounds me. Many people throw out answers when they have absolutely no clue what they are talking about.
Although, the people who answer questions in the C&T/Aircraft section seem generally knowledgeable and much less full of BS than in the more general categories.

It certainly is. I've seen questions on every topic thinkable, and asked a few questions myself. Sure I've gotten the immature, unhelpful people who only answer 2 words in order to get points, but for every handful of those you get 2 very enlightened and helpful people, who often offer outside sources. If you ask and don't get a response you're satisfied with, nothing's stopping you from asking again! Ask away!

LOL--you should get yourself a job as a stand-up comic :D
I'm sure that all you have to do is search "aviation," and then narrow your search to what this real world, very specific thing you want to know is.

As cherokeeflyer said, trust, but verify.
You get a general picture, make sense of what is available, cross check with good references if you plan to use any of it.
Anyways, you will get very interesting answers to "Why do pilots say "Roger" "? question.

From what I've seen, you have to sort through some fluff, but there are a couple of people who frequent this page that know what they are talking about.
Some may actually be in the business.
