It is very normal, means the bird is feeling good. I would worry if I didnt see my Birds standing on one leg.

Your parakeet is relaxing. Its type of how a horse relaxes, in effortless words having the differences of being 2 diverse species. she will be in a position to placed all her weight on one foot, relax for slightly, then change onto yet another foot, putting all her weight on the only which became taking a spoil. that is common in birds. no longer some thing is incorrect with her. maximum birds relax this type, so don't be shocked if she would not do this each nighttime, or each and anytime she falls asleep.

Parakeets stand on one foot because they are going to sleep soon. I have a cockatiel and he does the same thing. It is ok for him to do it. Its not a bad thing.

Actually, standing on one foot is a good thing. When parakeets are healthy and relaxed, they stand on one foot. You can often see them sleeping with a foot tucked into their feathers as well.

Dont worry! Its perfectly natural. It will normally do that when its feeling tired in the legs. Also, when its sleepy you cant see the foot because its hiding under the feathers. Just remember that if it keep doing it with the SAME LEG then you have to make a visit to the vet.

He/she is happy and content. You will probably find they've tucked their head back into their feathers between their wings, or they may be standing on 1 foot grinding their beaks.
All a sign of contentment - you're a good parent.

Don't worry, it's good if your budgie sits on one foot. They do this when they are relaxed, and when they sleep. Sounds comfortable, doesn't it? Yet to a budgie, that's really comfy.

A bird does that when it is resting and feeling at ease. It is perfectly normal for a bird to do that.
