I am curious about the process behind getting qualifying for a tryout. How many fights do you need? can you have under 10 fights and still qualify? How does the system compare in Canada to those found in other countries?

First of all the best way is to be the porvincial champion. Then it is almost assured. Then you have box offs with other people in your division for the right to go to the nationals. You win the box-offs.
Yes it is possible to still qualify since there are the national junior team.
