I was installing a game but I had to restart my computer, when I tried to install the game again, it acted as if it was allready installed, but I cannot play it since an error message. When I try to uninstall it, it wont eaither because of an error message, and when I look for the files in program files there are none for the game. Help? How can I uninstall it without the uninstall wizards? It is an older game, called Icewind Dale by Baldur Gate.

remove the registry keys manually. you could delete the program folders as well but not needed if you're gonna reinstall...it'll just overwrite them

maybe you should clean the registry
i assume you are a windows user
go to start menu-> run
type regedit and press return
then search for the entities 'icewind' and delete them all..
or use a registry claning program.

This has happened to me before. In my experience, you are going to have to get it fixed. The reason you cannot uninstall it is probally because of a virus on your computer. If it isn't a virus, I would be even more worried because then the computer is probally even more messed up. Have it looked at, or you may be able to continue using it with no complications other than you won't be able to play BG.
