I asked out a girl the other day and she said no but we are really good friends. And her friends told me she fancied me (I've fancied her for ages now) I just wondered what I'm doing wrong. All my friends have got girlfriends. I really like her. Any advice is welcomed.

Nothing gets a young woman's interest so fast as finding out that a guy is attractive to other females.
Be nice to all of them.
And wait a while before asking again if somebody turns you down.
That way, if she really wants to say Yes, she may know better than to play games next time.

Do you trust her friends that told you this info? If you do, then she maybe playing hard to get. Try another approach. Find out where she might be and show up once. Don't be a stalker. Then ask her out in a different way. Try a few more times. Also, befriend one of her closer pals and offer to take her for coffee. This might make her a tad jealous.
