The amount of radiation you receive from xraysis very minimal...especially with the digital xrays. I'm sure on a certain level they can be dangerous but nothing you should worry about unless you are around the radiation daily.

The lead vests are used just as an extra safety precaution - not to scare you.

Yes, too many teeth x-rays aat the dentist is dangerous. This is because during an x-ray, radioactive rays are given off and excess of this could cause diseases like cancer. For your life sake you can do your x-rays once a year.

Yes they are dangerous, but you would need to be exposed to a great number of them. this is why the dentist leaves the room for the X-Ray, with the number of x-rays he does in a week, it would be almost deadly for him to be in the room all the time.

Yes, that's why you wear the lead shield. Anyway, they'll tell you if you need one so you cant get too many except on purpose

No, any xray is not healthy but they are very low-dose.
