i am so sorry for your flatulent problem, but you just gave me a great laugh!! try changing his food. i know with my cats i feed Hills Science Diet & i can really tell a difference in the litter box. they dont eat as much so they don't poop as much & the poo dosen't smell as strong as it does with other (cheaper) foods. if that doesn't work, gas mask maybe??? good luck to you & smelly cat

Yes it is more than likely food. One of the worst is canned Friskies all though if it does not upset the stomach it is fine to feed it, but a lot of cats get gas from supermarket type canned foods. Also sometimes treats like Pounce or milk will do this. I am not knocking any of these foods or treats I use them all the time at our kennel many cats eat them without any problem but when a cat gets Gas these are the first things we cut out to see if it helps.

More than likely it is the food that is causing the gas, but it isnt what is causing the smell. Cats are actually poisonous and this why their bowels and gas smells because they are releasing the toxins. Try buying a better quality food, this wont make the smell any less, but it will more than likely cause the gas problem to go away or at least be less frequent.
Do you feed you cat wet or dry food?

maximum cats do have delicate tummies. There are easily loads of categories of nutrition obtainable fantastically the technology weight-help plan ones....in case you adjust the nutrition, be advantageous and do it steadily, mixing the ingredients collectively to make the transition hassle-free. in case you feed your kitty as a rule dry nutrition and then each and every now and returned a can of moist as a handle, that is a area of the undertaking besides. while uncertain, ask your vet they are continuously chuffed to offer suggestion. :)

Definitely sounds like a food issue if he is otherwise healthy. Sorry, but your pressing issue made me giggle.

it may not be gas... has he been cleaning himself often? he may need to have his anal glands expressed... they are the sacs that sometimes get clogged with their "scent". my kitty was cleaning herself and she was getting stinky and thats what it was... someone here told me about gland expression. take him to the vet, its not very expensive and my vet told me I didnt need an appointment next time to just bring her in.
