Hello, just wanted to let you know of a miracle pill that puts you to sleep, available over the counter, is actually very very beneficial for your health,and is only 3 bucks!! You don't say your age and that is sometimes a factor. Do you drink cofee or Tea with caffiene. Do you drink sodas, do you eat a lot of sugar? this alone could keep you awake. if you eat the wrong foods late in the day it stimulates the liver which goes into overdrive and you are so "awake' your mind keeps spinning. Try changing your diet to more healthy one, stop any hyperactive foods after noon, take a drink of hot milk with honey, watch only or read only relaxing things before betime. Take 1000 mg Calcium along with 500mg magnesium and one Vit D 30 minutes before bedtime with the milk and some non sugar crackers. Think or meditate on pleasant things and listen to calming music. Rap or heavy metal will keep you awake!!

Like above, exercise. Pray before going to bed.
And, it sounds counterintuitive but get up earlier to shift your personal daily cycle time.
Good Luck! I know the feeling. I am the same way.
Also, make sure you are not eating or drinking anything with cafeine after 5 o'clock; this includes Cokes and chocolates, of course.

Try and read a book which is totally boring. you must try really hard to concentrate on its boring content and before yo know it your eye lids will clamp firmly shut for the night!!
And dont worry about the book falling off the bed and you losing your page.

Reading helps me fall asleep. You should make sure that you aren't eating right before you go to bed, because it will keep you awake.

try having warm hot chocolate before you go to bed
