Is this a good approach to a coworker?

okay, so I work at a clothing store...about to start..and so I'm trying to meet new ppl...so what if i say this at first to a coworker (as a joke lol break the ice instead of being too practical)..."hey im ____...i just started here...its my first day...smiling..and shell greet and then i'll say "u know im the manager here" actually i just a___ ..ahha just to joke around or i can say something like hey why dont i say something like " i heard ur really good at putting stuff away..so why dont u put this away.." haha idk does any of these lines sound lame?

Be very careful about dating someone at work. Guess what happens to most relationships? They end up failing in an ugly manner. Would you like to see all your ex boyfriends every day, for hours on end?

In short, don't date someone at work unless you are willing to quit the job if the breakup is ugly or awkward, which it probably will be.

Spend a little more time in your English class too.

All of them are lame, just be yourself. Work is the one place you want to be professional. Especially with the last line, you could find yourself in the HR department your first day if you say that to the wrong person. And since you won't know anyone, you won't know who the wrong person is to say something like that to.
