Mostly, they just chase them. I knew a dog that killed them and burried them, but didn't eat them.

You watch too many movies. I have two dogs and two cats, and they get along perfectly fine. Dogs though are sort of attracted if you may, to cats, and will probably chase them once in a while. But the only place I have ever heard of a dog eating a cat is, well, actually, nowhere. Good Luck!!!

It's been my experience that cats do way more physical harm to dogs than the other way around. Dogs will chase cats but sometimes want to be friendly with them. Cats are more mean to dogs and any other animals.

ive actually heard of this. A ladys dogs ate her cat that had died in the house while she was at work and came home and found it. Quiet disturbing. If you have a mean dog or something like that then yeah, its not uncommon for dogs not to like cats. some dogs can tollierate them some cant

When I was a child saw many cats that had been mutilated by stray neighborhood dog packs. Dogs don't eat the skin or fur from my observation.

Depends on the dog. If it's been raised around them and knows the cat, no. It wouldn't be real common for them to actually eat and ingest the entire cat but I guess it would be possible.

I personally don't think a dog would eat a cat unless it was starving. I think a dog may maul & kill a cat, but not eat it. I have seen my 2 huskies kill many animals (rabbits, opposums, birds)in my back yard, but they have never eaten any of them.

Dogs that have high prey drives (bred for hunting) can kill cats and would eat them if they were hungry enough. Most domesticated dogs are well fed and would prefer people food or commercial dog food.

Btw JV, dogs are omnivores, not carnivores.

Not unless they're stir fried and served with wontons. KIDDING!

I have two dogs and four cats and they all live together in harmony.

Most dogs tolerate cats and vice versa with proper socialization. They don't actually "eat" them - they usually attack and kill them.

A VERY good reason to keep your cat in the house!
