I want to get contacts and I have brown eyes and i was wondering if the colored contacts like blue or green will look fake.

I am a certified optician and I've been teaching people to put contacts in for 10 yrs. and let me just tell you that colored contacts on folks with dark eye looks AWFUL!!! They look even more awful on guys!!! And every person I have ever worked with in the Optical field agrees whole-heartedly. When people ask me how they look when they try them on, I tell them they look fake and if they don't care that they look fake, go ahead and order some. Its always funny when a black guy puts on a pair of bright green contacts and asks me if they look natural! What do YOU think???
Women aren't fooled, gentlemen. Blue eyes are only dreamy when they are the God-issued kind.

Ask your eye care professional for a sample pair in differnt colors - that way you can try them on and see how they will change the color of your eyes BEFORE you invest money inbuying them. Some colors do indeed look "fake" but some don't. I have dark brown eyes, and have found that FreshLook contacts in "blue sapphire" look natural, while the "carribean blue" looks kinda scary. But be sure to avoid the "trick" contacts: the ones with your favorite football team, cat eyes, etc. These are generally not high quality contacts, and tend to irritate your eyes.

No, it depends on your hair color or face. It will just look weird in the beginning since everyone is used to seeing you with brown eyes (including yourself) but I say go for it! Why not try it out? If you don't like them or if you think they're too fake then quit getting them. I had the violet ones for a while and I loved them. (:

It depends on your skin tone and hair color, if u have darker skin and dark hair and u don't want to look fake then skip the blue. Green... u can green a shot. But then who cares if u look fake??? They are colored contacts, the idea is to make yourself look different. If you think you'll look Hot go for it, fake or no fake!

Yes they will. My sister has brown eyes and she got the blue ones. I don't know if it was the ones she got or whatever, but they look hecka fake. Especially since you can still see the brown when her eyes are dialated. The fake color of the contact is not going to change when your pupils change....

My friend has blue and green colored contacts and they dont look fake at all. She wears them everyday too.

they look kinda fake but good. if you get them make sure you stick to wearing them because its weird if one day you have brown eyes then blue and then the next day green.

i have brown eyes too an the won't look fake because i have violet,blue,an hazel contacts an the show up clear

this boy i go to school with has dark brown eyes and has blue contacts and u couldn't tell tht they're contacts or his reall eyes green would probably be the same way

no, someone I know has light green eyes and they have bright green contacts and it does not look fake.
