Do not keep her out of school. Switch to a tea tree oil based shampoo and that should help. If you have any worries about her getting it apply tea tree oil straight to the scalp and cover with a shower cap for 30 minutes and then shampoo as normal. Lice hate tea tree oil so using a shampoo with this in it is a great way to ward off infestations.

No, it wont help because lice eggs can stay alive for a while and all it takes is one louce egg to infest anyone. My son is in first grade too and his class had it as well, but he never got it so I guess tell your daughter to becarful and perhaps get louce medecine and use it, just incase.

Keep her hair up in a tight bun. I also use tea tree oil (the actual oil) sold at health food stores. I put it on a cotton ball and run it along the nape of her neck and behind her ears.

make sure she doesnt hang her coat up with all the other children. this could be a definate way to spread lice. also, check her head often so if she does get them, you can catch it before it gets too out of control.
