You dont need $$$ to own a skyline in the US. Motorex tore appart the market with there overpriced skylines and made people thing you had to have $40K just to drop on a used skyline. Let me tell you.... that is crap.... 2 weeks ago my buddy recieved his 1990 R32 GTS-T he bought for $7K and it is fully legal in the US. As soon as I sell my Z32-TT I am picking up my black 1991 R32 GTS-T Type-M. $8K for a street legal, insurable, emissions passable, Skyline.
How is this done? Easy... Canada.

there is an importer (motorex) in southern california that ships in used skylines. you can register them legal and insure them legit. they arent cheap but you can own a skyline in the US if you got the $$$. there are a few around here, they are scary as hell when they pull up next to you.
looks like motorex got shut down, you're gonna have to wait for the 08 or 09 version.

you can find skylines that have been made legal by motorex they run anywhere from $40,000-100,000. I know two people that own motorex skylines.

the skyline is going to be imported in 2007 sometime for northamerican use
