My measurements are 37-28-36, I'm a little confused. I've had some tell my my waist is abnormally large and other tell me that they're good measurements. Am I too big like I was told?

Someone told you a 28 inch waist is abnormally large? That is news to me, more like the person who said that was abnormally stupid...jeez....
Anyway, yes they are good measurements and not too big at all.
Worry when your waist is more than 32 inches, that is when it becomes a health issue.

Sounds about right to me. But, the real question is how do you feel about your body.
Too many people now a days think that what they see on TV and in the magazines is the idea. When in reality, it's the not. Most of those people are just too skinny.
And they starve themselves to look that way. Which is not healthy. And I have seen interviews with celebrities that talk about how when they are not doing a project they let themselves go and then ask for more money to get in shape when they are offered a part. And vise versa.
And that's not healthy either.
What do you think? I think if you are happy with yourself and you can do the things that make you happy then you are fine.
You are definitely not fat, by any stretch of the imagination. You have great measurements.
I should know as that is about the size I am and I always get looks, whistles and the lot. And my waist measurement is larger than yours.
It's just a perception thing. And it's also the way that you carry yourself. And if you are confident in yourself. Be happy that you are how you are.
You don't need to impress anyone. We all come in different sizes, shapes and colors, and for every person who tells you that you are too big, there is someone who will be jelous of you.
So don't worry. Be confident and if you are comfortable in your own skin, then that is and should be enough.
You are beautiful!!!!!

It depends on how tall you are. If you´re only 5 feet tall, those would be unhealthy measurements. If you´re at least 5 foot 4 then those are ideal.
I have a 27" waist and no one has ever said it´s abnormally large.

the only question you have to answer, is how do you feel about the way your body looks? if you answer, fine, then you have no problem, dont let people persuade that there is a perfect set of measurements or particular look that you need to strive for, this is unrealistic and ignores the fact that every 'body' is designed differently, learn to love yourself the way you are

Hey if that person is not happy with you give me a call or e-mail me I can't find a problem with your measurements, I can also help you trim your muscles a bit in case you want too but I don't think that would be neccesary!!

28 is pretty good -- with your figure -- abnormally large would be something like 38 or 40 -- or above

You are fine. Your proportions are, well, proportionate. For women, they only link health issues to waist size when it is over 35" in circumference, so if you are happy with your body, be happy.
