Ok... Well the first thing that you have to do is move to the United States. Then you have to take a test for citizenship (that's the only way you can become a police officer in the US) and then if you get your certificate for citizenship then you can become a police officer for the state of NY. (and i think you have spend 1 or 2 in a police academy for training...i'm not really sure about the last part because you already are a police officer). If you move here then you can become a cop in NY. Good luck!

Why not contact the Human resources Department of the NYPD and make application for employment? It would certainly be a bold move for you and one you might really enjoy. Better than than being like so many of the "dreamers" found on this site. Good luck--

Of course! If you're moving to the U.S., contact the NYPD and ask them what you need to do. You'll need to go to the academy here, of course. My husband's a police officer, (not in the NYPD, but in the U.S.) and he has a co-worker who used to be an officer in London.

Stay where you are, mate. NYPD will poison your very soul. I've two coppers in my immediate family, and neither of them nor any of their mates would ever consider going to work for NYPD - and three of those fellows HAVE served on that force in the recent past!

as long as you pass the NY police academy, i see no reason why not. and you need to be a citizen of the US as well.
