Usage is affected by third person/first person and plural/singular.

First person singular: I do
First person plural: we do
Second person singular: you do
Second person plural: you all do
Third person singular: she does, he does, it does
Third person plural: they do

** Does is only used for third person singular**

Does can be used to help a verb.
(Does) she (sing) a lot?

it can also be a verb by itself.
he can, and he (does)!

What are you (doing)? here doing acts as a continuing verb because of the "ing" and the linking verb "are"

I hope this helps, but I don't really know what your asking....
