There will be a gathering of war protesters in D.C. on the 17th. I'm sick of only hearing their side, America is bad, having money is bad, having a military is bad. Anyone else up for a road trip to protest the protesters?

You can keep your Army khaki,
You can keep your Navy blue,
I have the World's best fighting man,
To introduce to you
His uniform is different,
The best you've ever seen,
The Germans called him "Devil Dog"
His real name is "Marine."

He was born on Parris Island,
The place where God forgot.
The sand is eighteen inches deep,
The sun is blazing hot.

He gets up every morning,
Before the rising sun.
He'll run a hundred miles and more,
Before the day is done.

He's deadly with a rifle,
A bayonet made of steel.
He took the Warrior's calling card,
He's mastered how to kill.

And when he gets to Heaven,
St. Peter he will tell,
One more Marine reporting, sir,
I've spent my time in Hell.

So listen, all you young girls,
To what I have to say;
Go find yourself a young Marine,
To love you everyday.

He'll hug you and he'll kiss you,
And treat you like a queen,
There is no better Fighting Man,
The United States Marine

I totally agree with you. the problem is that unlike the rent-a-mob war protesters, most of those who support the effort to stop islamofascism actually work for a living. So when the drive-by media shows all the crowds of sheehan-types burning the President in effigy, they want you to think that only the anti-war types care enough to show up. Wrong. We care, but we have commitments. It's easy to drop everything and drive your yugo to DC when you are a do-nothing the other 364 days of the year. So I'll be supporting you, but I'll have to pass on the protest-scene. I'll flame my lousy liberal congressman instead.

I wish people wouldn't protest things they have no knowledge. Certain people only protest the war because their son or someone they know died in the war, that's sad and I'm sorry for their loss but people die in war. That doesn't mean we shouldn't be over there fighting.

70% of people disagree with the war. 70% of people don't vote. I would be willing to bet 70% of people can't point out Iraq on a map.

Just wait until a suicide bomber strikes at them. They think where so bad, but if this cult got a hold of them ALL there heads be coming off. I'm with you on this one....I would go but DC is way to far for me. What they need to do is show the GOOD things coming out of this war not all the bad things. Like freedom and kids learning. They never show the thousands of schools they build, and all the good things that came from this.

I will be arriving back from Texas March 16th, but, weather permitting, I'll be on my scoot at 4 a.m. on the 17th heading for D.C. (bad weather and I'll be forced to ride in my cage). We won't be allowed to carry our AMERICAN FLAGS or any other thing that might be used as a weapon. Go figure, the AMERICAN FLAG AS A WEAPON! Who'd have guessed!

Nah, I have to work for a living just like the 1.5 million service-members that give the "Few" the right to go to DC and complain, relive the sixties, trot out washed up celebrities to make themselves feel good. It must really bother them that the 60's aren't happening again.

I'd love go but I'm too busy working to support my family, I don't have the time to go play silly-buggers like these war protestors do. Maybe if I had a college trust fund to dip into like a lot of them have...

I wouldnt feel right, but i support you.
I'm in the army, just got back from iraq, don't feel like more protests, but thanks for backing us up, its damn refreshing to have people say good things about us.
