Try a local museum. My fiance went to a wine tasting event at this great museum and we were told that someone was having their wedding reception there the following weekend. It was such a great idea and wonderful environment.
Otherwise, try a hotel ballroom or clubhouse. I've even heard of people using a school gym....not my first choice, but I'm sure it would cut expenses.

What about a ski chalet? or ski resort? They probably have banquet halls and some people could stay overnight and ski the next day. Good luck and God Bless you.
