How to cook rice in a veg. steamer

remove the steamer.
add 1 cup salted water, bring to a boil
add 1/2 cup rice, lower heat to simmer, cover pot.
with 20 minutes. Done.

The formula for rice is 2 to 1. Two parts water to 1 part rice. You can make as much as you want using that formula. Rice takes about 20 minutes to cook and is considered "done" when it has absorbed all the water.

you should have gotten a book with your steamer, it depends on which kind you have.. my steamer I add the veggies and put about a cup of water at the bottom of the pan than when it starts rattling the pin on top I cook broccoli for 5 minutes w/no weights.. I hope this helps everyone is different!
