it used to not be a problem, as long as you rehabbed it and regained full range of motion.
The full range of motion is what they will check the most, along with stability.
I had a friend who was joining the AF the same time I was, be denied because he didn't do his rehab right and never regained full range of motion.
Even though he played 2 years of HS football and 3 years of HS basketball after his surgery.
The only way your gonna know, is after the physical at MEPS.
It might be a good idea to bring paper work from your own doctors with you, showing what was torn, what was done to fix it and your rehab results.

Make sure it's been repaired, and you have an orthopedist look it over and write you a clean bill of health. You'll probably need a medical waiver. But I've seen guys go in with previous injuries like this. The main thing is that it has to be already fixed. You can't go in with an unrepaired joint problem.
Don't see why this would keep you out as long as it's repaired, and you can run. Practice duck-walking. You'll have to be able to do that in the MEPS physical.

I think the important thing is that it's healed. Your should consider getting the opinions of three Doctors that your knee is fine and your have "un-restricted duty"; ie, you can do anything anyone else can. Remember, there are people in the Military with One leg...
Anyway, get the Doctors clearences and go see your recruiter. Consider the Airforce or Navy as opposed to ground pounding...

Former Recruiter here:
You will need an original diagnosis on the injury from your DR.
The prognosis after the surgery.
**The key thing is you will need your X-rays (MEPS will not do it)*
If you are having problems with that you can always try the National Guard, who have a different medical guidance and switch to active later.

Get it fixed, exercise, wait six months to prove you no longer have a problem, then apply to get in and you should have no problem.
