Generally, I find that "time out" chairs or areas work very well. But only when it really is a punishment to be sent to sit alone and think about what has happened. I have also learned that by literally lowering yourself to your child's level and speaking to them where they are, respect and response is a lot more attainable. I also like to teach children methods of coping with anger or frustration, using certain breathing and counting techniques that takes their mind off the problem at hand. I must add that I will not tolerate any form of abuse nor will I use any form of abuse. This includes physical, mental, or verbal. To me, watching a child grow from an infant to a toddler and so on is one of the best gifts life can offer. Since I’ve worked in a hotel cleaning I’m not really against any cleaning as long as I am paid for my duties and I'm not taken advantage of. I plan to help run the household.
