No, the destruction of the Temple and town in 70CE was the result of years of terroist activities by the Jews against thier Roman occupiers, and it was the aggresive backlash to wipe out this troublesome little town on the border between Rome and Persia.

9/11 was a single - very large - but still a single - terroist act against the Americans who have been paying for the Jews (Isralies) to occupy Palestine for the last 50 years. If the Americans then invaded an Islamic country and reduced it to rubble in retaliation - dispersed the population, and carted off the leaders , it would be like 70CE

OMG its like Afghanistan, Iran, Gatumala bay prision, Sudan, - America is like the Roman Empire - and bullying Islam - I wonder what the supporters of the nations that America is funding military occupation within will do next?

No way! the destruction of Jerusalem resulted in the removing of true worship of God. Israelites had a temple there and this was their centre of worship. Its destruction removed the true worship. 9/11 did not in any way any form of worship from the earth, or for that matter the New Yokers. if anything it probably gave people around the world to look for a Supreme being, God, as a solution to mankinds problem.

No, its comparable to the time of the end. The time that we are now living in. It will come exactly on time, according to God’s schedule. It will not be late. (Habakkuk 2:3) The destruction of Jerusalem in 70 C.E. came quickly, when the Jews did not expect it, when they thought that danger was past. So, too, sudden destruction will come upon this present wicked world of people in God's due time.

Not at all. It was more like the Siege of Berlin in the second world war, or maybe Stalingrad if Germany had won. The destruction of Jerusalem was after a long siege and was a sacking of the city.
It is covered very nicely by Josephus Flavius in his "The History of the Jewish War."

Not really, The destruction of Jerusalem was an act of conquest, while 9/11 was an act of terrorism.

No. It was much worse.

The Temple was the center of Jewish life.

Once it was destroyed, there was no more worship system.

And since the Romans would soon scatter the Jews to the four winds, that was pretty much the end of "classic" Judaism for all time.

Of course, Jesus predicted all this, exactly one biblical "generation" before it happened.

The Jews should have converted to Christianity. It would have saved them. It still can.

Yes, God allowed the wicked to destroy Jerusalem because Israel had forgotten God, rejected His Son and would not repent and turn from their wicked ways.

Psalm 9:17-20
The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten; the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. Arise, O Lord: let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight. Put them in fear, O Lord; that the nations may know themselves to be but men.

For years men of God have said that our Lord is our Protection and Provision in America. On 9/11 we stood unprotected, neither do we ask ourselves why or do we judge ourself.

Psalm 10:4
The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.

IS GOD IN THE THOUGHTS OF AMERICA?

there has always been destruction of holy cities. Terrorists has always been around and sadly probably always be around. I don't see any comparison except that extremists live in fear of themselves and are brainwashed in insanity. They are still around because more people are turning their backs on God instead of relying on Him and praying to Him for guidance. Look at all that the Israelites went through for 1000s of years. They would obey God and God blessed them, then they would let their egos inflate and forgot God and God no longer blessed them. This happened for generations and generations. I see it still happening today. The terrorists seems to be gaining more control as we are turning our backs on God more.
