I'm living off of someone right now like a mooch although, I DO do my share around the house. I don't have ANY money. I've been looking for a job for 3 months straight with no luck at all. I haven't been picky either. The only thing that I need is a job that is somewhere close so I can walk because I don't have a car. Buses don't even run out here in Red Oak, Texas. Like I said, I don't have any money so I can't go to the doctor for a perscription for my depression. On top of everything else... I have really bad tooth pain that hasn't gone away in over a year... the pain is constant. No meds work for me anymore. Aspirin paste doesn't work either. I'm a really good person with sooo much to offer if given the chance. I just keep falling deeper into a hole and this depression is getting so much worse. If you have a heart, please give me some information that might help. Thank you so much!

That's a lot to handle. First off, stay strong!

Let's start off with the Job struggle. What kind of job are you looking for? Other than close proximity?

Try www.hotjobs.com and also www.monster.com and search for jobs there. You will need a resume. Let me know if you need help with that.

As far as the Depression: There's always help. Tryi this: http://mentalhealth.samhsa.gov/databases/facility-search.aspx?state=IA&fullname=Iowa

Go there and find a place near you where you can get help with this. There must be a clinic where you can get free help.

Since you dont have an income, you can be elligible for a dental clinic. Go here: http://www.freemedicalcamps.com/vcity.php?stateid=TX

For a list of dental and medical clinics in your state of Texas.

I hope this helps. Keep your chin up. It'll all be OK.

That's pretty rough, Amber. And that's a position I can sympathsize with: I don't have a vehicle either.

What does Red Oak have in the way of cab service? They can be extremely pricey I know.

You may want to consider a work-at-home option. Check the web and see what you can find on employment that you want. The fact that you are posting here says you do have internet access. You might even want to look at Monster.com or something comparable.

It seems to me that there should be a service that can help you with medicines and medical care (including dental). Check your local phone book.

Good luck!

Like you i went through the same thing, I mooched off of my best friend although i did watch her daughter the first 4 years of her life and cleaned her house ect. It was hard to get a job i tried everything, i went everywhere...but no luck! So then i started stripping unfortunately and was able to make money that way..Due to the hours(10p.m-4a.m) i could no longer stay with my friend so then i started staying with my other friend and he went with me to work and stayed their til i got off and we ended up getting married, I still suffer from depression but it's getting better. I can understand where your depression is coming from and I know it's very hard to deal with. But it does get better hun just give it time..I'm not sure where you live but i know some places help people find jobs you can even ask someone at a homeless shelter, they will help you find a job ect..
I hope everything works out for you..
Good luck and i'll keep you in my prayers:)

Well, you CAN be seen by a doctor and a dentist. Contact your county's department of social services. They will get you seen for nothing if you have no job. You can get your teeth fixed and get your depression medication AND counseling. Why not get a lift from whomever you live with into town in the mornings and look for a job? Catch a bus there. Come on....you can do this if you really want to.
