Navy Seals trained for combat insertion force.
Army Special forces trained for insertion and training of indigenous forces and sometimes for info gathering.
Delta Force does not exist on books as being under any military command it is under Intelligence and State Department. Seen its largest increase under Clinton and Bush Jr.(realy Rumsfeld and Chenys instigation showed largest increase)
it personnel come from amny branches of military and even some civilians.
Most often used under Naval Intelligence.
It is said Rumsfeld alone commanded 15,000 special force that could operate out of DOD and on an individual basis.
Delta Force was not in blackhawk down episode.
They have carried out missions upon almost evry countrys soils and at least been based upon most at one time or another.
They are not under Congressional Scrutiny!
Pay and operating are all off budget items. congress does not oversee.

"Delta what delta" is the best answer to your question, everyone knows we have the seals. You prove we have a delta force and any mission they've even been on. The department of defense denies we have them and they have their on funding and take orders striaght from the president. Were the seals are navy and fall under the special operations chain of command the same as the green berets, commandos and marine recon. Oh and on there funding, they have plenty of it you can take my word on that. Nice facility that they have (the glimispes you can see of it, you aint getting anywhere close to it) that's for sure it's been tried several times. never a success unless they want you in u don't get in.

well, delta forces was the only good thing that came out of jimmy Carter's presidency, they are counterterrorist and kick too much a$s so descirbe their job on yahoo answers. Seals are part of the navy and do more water based things like swimming in from off-shore in freezing water and jumping on an enemy boat with nothing but a knife, slowly slitting the throats of everyone on the shop and then taking the captain for hostage and driving the ship home.
Delta forces is kind of like waht was in black hawk down but way cooler.
