Could someone give me this answer in miligrams please? I'm taking folic acid supplements and was wandering whether it was possible to over-dose on it?

The recommended daily dose is 0.4-1 mg for all women of childbearing age. Don't worry about over dosing, you would have to take a huge amount to OD. Any unused portion is simply excreted by your body. WTG for taking it by the way. 50-70% of all cases of neural tube defects in infants can be prevented just by taking that supplement

400 mg is the daily dose unless you are trying to get pregnant or you need it because you are taking meds that decrease folic acid.
800 if you are trying or is pregnant
