You don't mention what you are using either gas guzzler for.
If you just like the way the truck looks, stop putting form before function and your wallet. The passport isn't going to be much better on gas.
Do some research on SUVs (crossovers in particular) at www.edmunds.com and try to find something that looks good to you and will be good to you in terms of insurance maintenance and gas mileage.
I'm all for buying what you like, but buying a car is not something you do just because it looks good. But I've seen folks going broke trying to look good.
It's kind of like buying and wearing shoes that hurt your feet and give you hammer toes just cause they look good. You're going to drive a gas guzzling vehicle you probably can't afford to fuel just because it looks good to you?
I'd consider the new GM FWD SUV from Saturn and GMC. I'd even consider the Honda Pilot before I'd consider either the two vehicles you've mentioned.
Hope I haven't hit you too hard with what I've said. I firmly believe you should buy what you can afford and also buy what you want. But think practically before you make the 5 year commitment.

I would pick neither. My reason is that the Honda Passport is no longer manufactured (in the US) and the Armada is both a gas guzzler and has reliability issues. Also, the Passport is a joint venture between Isuzu and Honda, so you'll definitely get a truck with truck handling.
I would prefer the new(er) Nissan Pathfinder or the Honda Pilot. The Pathfinder has ample space and power (unless you really need a 300hp v8) and the Pilot, although underpowered, performs flawlessly and fit and finish is Honda quality. Handling for both vehicles are awesome, tows like crazy, and engines that are Ward's approved.
I believe in statistics, the Pilot is better in gas mileage than the Pathfinder, you can research this.
Overall, I would pick the Pathfinder over the Armada or the Passport.
Best of luck.

Chevy Suburban, Ford day holiday, Cadillac expand. All finished length recreation application automobiles with V-8 engines. Watch the papers they are going to be giving them away. At $4 a gallon those monster's get 10 to 13 on the city and in basic terms 15 to 17 street and the gas tanks take $one hundred money each and every week to maintain crammed up. Thief's stick to those on your parking spot drill a hollow interior the gas tank and drain out the 34 gallons on occasion $a hundred thirty five money of gas. The Ford is the closest to Nissan Armada because of fact the two have self reliant rear suspension and greater useful experience than the GM great recreation application. there are a number of mid length SUV's Honda Pilot, Chevy path blazer, GM envoy. Nissan Pathfinder. Toyota Highlander. Hyundai has one KIA has one. they're in basic terms a touch greater useful in gas financial gadget as much as twenty-5 MPG

I rather get a 2007 Explorer with a v8 because it has the same mpg as a v6 explorer and the v8 has more power......the explorer is more roomier than the pathfinder....my cousin bought one and i sat on the 2nd row seat....and it had nooo space and im 6'2 and the seats are sooooo thick....so i'd go with the explorer...because i own one and it is a way better truck than the armada, pathfinder and the passport

If you do the math you'll find that the annual fuel cost isn't a huge difference considering the additional size and comfort of the Armada. People who own Armadas love them!
15,000/18mpg= 833.3 x $2.30 gal.= $1,916.59/yr
15,000/14mpg=1071x$2.30/gal=$2463/yr
The difference is $10 a week. Plus, you may do better than 14.

an armada is much larger than a passport so if gas is your concern, then go with the passport.

Rule of Thumb: "If you can't afford the gas to put in the tank, then you can't afford the car."
However, if money is no object, then buy the one that makes you the happiest and get rid of it when you think something else will make you happier.
