Nothing.

The used Nissan Altima that I bought probably had 5000 "owners" being it was a rental car but it was one of the most reliable cars I've ever owned. 60k trouble free miles before I sold it.

Carfax.com has that info.

Sometimes, especially with newer cars, having "many owners" is not a good thing. It means that they got rid of it for a reason. With older cars, it's understandable to have many owners because of the fact that it is an older car. Generally, newer, used cars that have had many owners have many issues, such as the usual wear and tear, or some drive-affecting issues, like bad brakes. I always think: "if many people got rid of it, it's for a reason".
Don't get discouraged, thought, there are many cars like this that are very reliable and comfortable. Good luck with everything.

I f a car has had many owners, it may be that after they bought it or experienced driving it for a while, that they discovered something expensive to fix or some fault that made it a pain to drive and they decided to unload the problem on the next person. If it is a relatively new car, the dealership should be able to access its repair history under warranty (if the transmission went out every couple of months, it would be recorded, for example)

The fact that all the other owners wanted to get rid of it.
That depends on how the automobile was sold. If from individual owners. You wont have a chance.

People like me who owned used cars like to beat on them. I like to beat them down till it's almost dead then sell it.

Thats why used cars are fun to sell and let people deal with.
