There are 1000 millions in 1 billion. I know that for sure. Just multiply 1 million by 1,000, and you get 1 billion

Either a thousand or a million, depending on which system you use, long or short. In America is has always been a thousand but in England it has traditionally been a million, which is why the English frequently say things like ten thousand million, which you never hear in America. See the source.
