I am 205, south paw, 6' i will travel. I have a lic in MA pro but have no problem going to any stae and getting another one. the reason it is so hard for me is because this will be my first sanctioned pro fight.

Pat ~
Are you a Pro or amateur? How many fights do you have? How old are you? How much do you weigh (aside from being a Heavyweight) How tall are you? Are you a southpaw? What gym do you work out of? Will you travel? Do you have a license pro or amateur? There's a lot more you have to add to your question before anyone can give you a serious answer.
Great! Have you ever heard the term "Break Camp" ? This terminology was used back in the 50's and early 60's where a fighter would go to a well known fighters gym and workout and eventually spar with the better known fighter, once in the ring the unknown fighter would hold his own and the trainers and everybody in the gym would see what a talent he truly is.
I've been in gyms all over the place and after watching me do my thing, I was often approached by other trainers and fighters. Some people are just off the wall and some are legitimate boxing people.
If you're a good fighter, maybe you should make a tape of yourself working out and sparring and send it out to different Promoters. If you go to Fightnews.com and click on Press Links there will be a whole list of Promotional organizations. Being a Heavtweight and a Southpaw, you shouldn't have any problem being noticed.
