If he committed the domestic violence then, yes, he should face the consequences. If it's a first offense, most likely they'll give him probation and a chance to get counseling. However, if he's already out on probation and violated the terms of the probation, then he's looking at doing some time even if it's his first charge of domestic violence.

This is a question that honestly is going to be tough to answer without being a jackass. So..rather than answering let me ask you this.
Is it safe to assume that you are the bearer of his child?
Is it safe to assume that you ask this question because you love him?
Is it safe to assume that despite the fact he's a 2 time (maybe more because he IS/WAS on probabtion) loser you intend to establish a relationship with this fellow?
And am I right in deducing that he failed to heed a court order and stay away from the other mother of a child of his as well as slapping around a "random" female?
So what would lead you to believe that this "man" is your knight in shining armour?. Again under the assumption that you believe this.
Oh...no saying "because he loves the baby". If he did he wouldn't be spending time on an all expense paid vacation with the authorities and have more concern with raising his kid(s) and being with you...or the other mother...or the "random" female...or maybe all.

Am I getting through to you my dear? Can you get the idea of what I'm driving at here?

If the DA feels there is enough evidence to warrant charges of DV, then he will have to face trial on that.

The outcome will depend on a variety of factors ranging from his prior record to the extent of her injuries to whether there was a weapon involved and a bunch of stuff in between.

that you will become the next baby's momma and and he will domestically violate you. you won't be p2dgood,you'll then be p2dbad. in a drought people pray for rain...in this situation i think you should pray for jail and not become a statistic.
please don't attempt to justify or modify his behavior. the 3 C's rule applies here...you didn't Cause it, you can't Control it and you can't Cure it. run like hell in the opposite direction.

Because it takes two to tango, both parties should suffer from improper behavior if we want such abuses to cease. What will happen now is he will become a burdon to taxpayers proving that sexual bias works against everyone. Will we ever learn that protections require all to be defenseless?
