I believe it is. However, in my experience, attending church gives me that "high" I need to start my week. I am also involved in the church choir and volunteer for various church functions. I don't go to church every week, but I do make "regular" appearances. The important thing is to find a church that doesn't pressure you or make you feel guilty for not going. I find it especially helpful to "live Godly" if I have a routine I follow to keep my spiritual side going. I may read my Bible a bit before bed or at breakfast, make it a point to learn something new about one of the Saints or even learn some history about my church. Whatever you do, don't let people discourage you. Good luck and God bless!

Nope, not at all. You have to know that whenever you are in a group, your prayer is stronger. If you are by yourself, the devil is always roaming, trying to find a way to slither to you and corrupt you. Besides, remember what the Bible states, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." Well, just because you are alone and praying doesn't mean that God won't hear you, it's just that your prayer is not as powerful as when you pray in a group. Besides, God made us so we can follow in his footsteps. We need to get out there, and tell people about how God has changed our lives. If we just stay at home, and don't go to Church, then how can we show others the thruth of God? We need to attend Church.

Being a moral person doesn't depend on going to church. Faith, hope, and charity are considered Christian principles. Faith is belief, hope is what gets us through the bad times, and charity is the kindness you show to those who have less than you.
There are plenty of people in church with no faith. They are there to make a public impression of godliness. There are plenty with no hope either. Too many churches look forward to the end-of-days. Is it because they have no hope for mankind? Or, is it easier than doing something about the problems that confront the world?
There are plenty of people in church every Sunday who never practice charity. They are not kind to those who work for them, they give nothing to those with less, and they generally bad mouth everyone else. These people only feel good about themselves by demeaning others. Church can't help them.

you dont have to attend a church building. The bible says not to forget to meet with other Christians. Even if you have only 2 Christian friends, meet together often and help eachother, encouraging eachother in your faith , break bread together and have bible study together and hold eachother accountable. Church is set up so a pastor can lead you and teach you the word of God and make it practical for today's society, the church is the body of Christ where each person has a role in. Small or big church I am sure there is one for you. God bless you

Yes, I believe a person can live Godly without attending church at all. If we examine the word Godly which means: "obeying and revering God; devout; pious." there is nothing in that definition which states, church is the only place to receive or fellowship with God. When attending church, we are fellowshipping with one another to support each other but that doesn't guarantee a relationship with God.

Sure. I've seen this question posted at least once a day here, so you're not alone. A lot of people believe in God and try to live good lives and practice what Jesus preached without feeling they have to attend church.

Of course. God does not discriminate. I'd be more concerned that the churches will tell you differently cuz they want your money. I quit going just for that reason. What I mean by that is I don't think you have to become a member ( $$$) of a church to believe. And yes, some churches require you to give a % of your income. It's like you have to pay for religion and I don't believe that.

I find that it is easier to stay in touch with God if I go visit him every once in a while. It's kinda like keepin' up with your mom, you can call her all the time, and she'd be happy about that, but she'd probably be pretty thrilled if you came to visit her.
Also, I have found a really good church family. I think this is what God meant for the Church to be. No matter what happens, I can go to church and be surrounded by people that care about me. Often, God has answered my prayers through the people in my church, without them ever even knowing what happened! I think it helps keep you accountable in your relationship with God. I also truly beleive that the Church can be a tool God uses to shower his children with gifts...

Yes, you can be Godly to an extent. But by not attending church, you are missing out on a very important element of discipleship, and that's fellowship. Sure, you can sit home and watch religious programs on television, but you can't fellowship with a tv. We need our fellow Christian brothers and sisters to help strengthen us. The bible is full of commands to love one another, encourage one another, pray for one another, etc. You can't do this alone. Plus, if you truly love God, why wouldn't you want to be in His house?
