i was thinking about taking a online course to become one.. thing is at 43 i wonder if it a bit beyound me.. when i think of investergators i think of people in their mid 20 to mid 30s...has any one took those courses..i compeleted high school but that is as far as i went.. what other if any type of degree would i need ... i was thinking i could use it for insurance ivestigations.. or missing person or such.. not sure.. they do seem to make it sound easy but i am not so sure...

one of the thing i do enjoy doing is research.. like hunting up people i use to know.. hunting old phone numbers and address.. checking all over the web for them

Most private investigation work involves sitting at the computer and searching the Internet or sitting in your car and following people around. Not really physically demanding, just requires patience

I'm over 43 and me and a retired captain of detectives were talking about starting an agency. Your years of experience in everyday life will give you a leg up. Go for it!

learn to spell first because you may need to use your evidence in court and it won't look to good when you can't spell.
