I know this lady at work and we get onto the topic of religion often and the good word of Jesus and God. I asked here whether she has a bible and she said she doesn't. I am leaving my job soon to move elsewhere and I would like to give her something significant as a sign of everlasting friendship.

Do you think this is a good idea?

I think that is a wonderful idea. Not only that you are letting her know she is an important part of your life and you care about her and what happens to her. Maybe you could write down some of your favorite places to study in the Bible and put it on some really nice stationary and add it to the gift. That is a very thoughtful and meaningful gift you could give and I am sure she will be very grateful and study. I will pray your move and new job go well.

I think it would be a good idea. If she doesn't have one or never had one, don't get a translation that is too difficult to read. NLT is good for the beginning Bible student. Being that you have talked with her about religion before, then you know the topic is okay to discuss with her. She won't be offended by it because you've already asked her if she has one. Good idea.

I think it's a great idea. If she is a non believer, she may not be as happy about it, but generally, people who get a bible as a gift, take it home. They may put it in a drawer or bury it on a shelf somewhere. The seed is planted. A time will come, when that dusty book passes through their hands and they will open it. Keep praying for your co worker.

It's a great idea. You probably know by now if she would get offended or not. And if she most likely won't, I think you should give it a shot. If she does get offended then, oh well you tried and you're moving elsewhere anyway. Atleast you are showing you care about her afterlife. Good luck & God bless.

It's an excellent idea. I'm surprised that she doesn't already have one. You might want to make sure she can read which may be why she doesn't have one, but then again I know a few people that aren't good readers but own bibles. Anyway you might want to consider some type of audio or video format. But regardless it is an excellent idea.

If you have talked about religion together I dont think that would be a problem.I think that is a nice and thoughful gift to give someone. If you two had never brought up the subject then that would be pretty weird but thats not your situation.

Yes, I think it's a great idea. It sounds like from your conversations with her that she would really appreciate it.

You could give her a nice study Bible with her name engraved in leather. I think you should definitely give her a Bible, since she doesn't have one and it's a nice gift.

Yeah, it's a good idea. I got my first Bible for Christmas from My boyfriend when I was 16. I thought it was real nice and we are still friends.

I think it's a great idea. I would have loved to receive a Bible but luckily, I bought one myself! I can't imagine my life without it.
Good luck on your new job.
