I'm going to start off by saying I have had my dog for 8 years well this past week she has been acting very weird towards me mostly just whining alot, folling me everywhere and she's usually not like this, usually she's all over my husband but she has not been wanting to go around him.. Me and my husband came home from a day out and she was up my a** and licking me frantically, she would lick my husband though then when she was licking me she started humping the air and when i moved away she started whining really loud..I mind you in the 8 years we have had her she has never ever done something like this..
She just had her period 3-4 months befor hand so i know she was not in heat.
Also i was not around any other dogs/cats..
Anybody ever experienced with with their dogs or knows why she is doing this????

She is simply just saying "hi" in one of the way dogs do. And she is especially having some raging horomones, lol! And some people whom don't understand these behaviors do get offended. Both of my dogs two Rhodesian Ridgebacks (Male and Female) also do this especially if we have been somewhere. Notorious Crotch Sniffers! I haven't met one that doesn't do this! My Female also humps the air after sniffing there and she is spayed. So being fixed or not has nothing to do with it. Its part of their instinct. My male hasn't showed this behavior yet but I am sure he will. They will even "crotch sniff or butt sniff" our company and we like to warn people before they come over. You guys being gone a few hours is like a few days to dogs. She missed you guys!

she may have a cyst that is something that makes her go in heat more often so it is not impossible that she has gone into heat so bring her to a veterinarian as soon as possible
