Umm... I don't think we have any right to judge anyone's beliefs just because we don't agree with them. Let the Hindus worship whatever they wanna worship as it doesn't concern us--just like they're letting you worship whatever you may worship. Whether they're primitive or not, I wouldn't bother worrying. The belief in the Pure Oneness of God has been existing since Adam and Eve (first 2 people on earth), so, no, Hindus aren't primitive people.
How does one define the term "modern," by the way? Even so, all "modern" religions have one God, yes, true, BUT Mohammad is NOT considered a God. He never claimed to be God, and Muslisms don't worship him either.
Peace be upon you!

Hinduism has ONE God, called Brahman. Brahman makes up the entire universe, but humans cannot see this and instead see an area of space and time. Brahman manifests Himself as all the many gods of Hinduism. Hindus DO NOT worship monkeys, snakes, bulls, donkeys, stones etc. They worship one God.

Please research the religion before you make assertions about it.

You think that Christianity, Buddhism and Islam are modern religion?

How old do they have to be to qualify as ancient?

Would you feel better about Hindu if they worshiped the dead body of a middle-aged man stuck on a cross or a fat bald golden guy? These are symbols, no more, no less. Look at what they represent before making hasty judgment.

You have been grievously misinformed.
Jesus is not God, Mohammad is not God.

Buddhism has no god. Buddha is a human mentor. They follow him as a guide only. Buddhism is probably the most advanced and openminded religion there is.

Hindus do not worship the idle. It is just a representation of god.

Hinduism has many gods, superficially. Not nature, the gods have nothing to do with nature. They are separate entities. gods, like greek, roman. But at the core, there is the concept that there is only one god. It permeates us all. The gods are just faces of this universal power, as are we and everything else.

Let me repeat, HINDUS CREATED THE CONCEPT OF ONE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!

please get your facts straight.

Jesus is said to be Son of God, not God.
Buddha is called Bodhisattva.
Mohammad is called messenger.
But Hindu has so many founder of sampraday. Sampraday means spreading same messages in different way according to the necessities of different time.
All are messengers, inspiring people of the world for God realisation in the same way they realised. We all worship some name, idol, or some symbol for some assistance from them.
All the creatures in this world have not come by their own choice. They are somewhat said to be in the same boat as we are. Therefore to extend sympathy and love not only to our human race only but to all creatures (aren't they too creation of God?).
This 'Question' has produced astonishment all over the world since ages. I tried my best to explain it.

Buddhists, Confucians and Taoists do not have a god. They follow the teachings of wise men, not gods.

Christians have a three-phased God they call the Trinity.

Hindus have many gods or one God with many aspects, depending on your viewpoint.

If you make fun of other religions, you cannot expect people to respect you, or your religion.

Do you REALLY think people get up in the morning and say to themselves "I am going to worship a false God?"

People follow the religion that makes the most sense to them. You cannot expect respect unless you give respect.

See by refering to God for different faiths as Jesus, Buddha or Mohammed, you yourself have brought your ignorance into limelight.

God is not like a head of a state or head of a religion/ faith as these are being practiced in today's world. God is only one and unless we get this fact properly imbedded into our minds, we are only gossipping for pastimes.

The Hindu religion as being practiced today is banking on superstitions and not on faith. Faith is always covered with humbleness. Superstitions are stupid imaginations of mind and spread ignorance. Yet some people with vested interests, and most people with wrong perceptions of the religion, practice it.

Since most Hindus are ignorant practicing it, Hinduism has a unique edge over other religions because it is god gifted for being humble. So it is easier for a humble Hindu to achieve his aim than for others, because of the simple fact that followers of other faiths don't consider them to be ignorant. And God only blesses those who consider themselves ignorant.

Religion and spiritualism are the abstract things. The 'DIVINE POWER' is formless. To realise one's 'SELF' one has to adopt some method or take some path. For ordinary human beings some figure or idol is required to concentrate and seek the god or almighty and one selects and worships according to his temperament and background. Those who are elevated to higher level, automatically adopt the method of 'inner travel' by meditation or such higher level practices; they do not need something external for concentration; it is all there in their awakend mind like Jesus, Buddha, Mohammed...who are all realised souls by latter methods.
