My college uses TeLL me More, by Auralog. I found it more complete and less repetitive. It covers not only the basics, but also intermediate or advanced level. My goal was to become fluent so it was perfect for me. It has a lot of different activities: picture/word association, videos, dialogues,..., includes also grammar and conjugation. Their speech recogntion is great so you can have a dialogue with the computer. They have a free demo at http://www.auralog.com/.
I came across that website listing Spanish software http://learn-spanish-software-review.toptenreviews.com/

The best way to learn a language would be through immersion, visiting these countries. Learning a language will require some time. In addition to software, you can have books which are useful as well. Audio CDs like Pimsleur for instance might help you out but you cannot get any feedback on your pronunciation so I did not like it so much.

The answers are good. I would recommend you to complement yous classes, courses or tutor with two more sources: books or newspapers in Spanish and live conversation or TV programs.

Now, if you live in USA, not all Spanish speaking fellows can be a reliable source, some of them have strong deficiencies in Spanish. Regards,

There are some really good cd's on sale on the web! you have to buy a dictionary and learn by yourself with audio help or you can take some courses!! Listening to spanish songs might help you and trying to figure out the lyrics! Actually listening the songs might help you get an idea how rapid pronunciation is.. sometimes words are linked and all that!

you can get a spanish tutor, or take some classes. I find the spanish books and phrase books very helpful. Also you can find cds which you can listen and talk with. Good luck!

You can start by looking up the pronunciation guide for the letters of the Spanish alphabet, which is 99% the same as English one and then go on to the subjects, like I, you me, he, she, they, and learn how to say those, and build it a little a day. You'd be surprised how fast you can pick it up. and read spanish a lot in newspapers, books, etc. youll pick it up!

The best way? Spending time in a place that only speaks Spanish, Mexico, a Spanish speaking home etc..oh, and watch plenty of Telemundo.

try www.rossettastone.com and you can buy software in any language including Spanish and it's the fastest way to learn a language. I'm doing it and it's great. Also, take a class or a visit to Mexico or something.
