I downloaded it when I upgraded the browser, but I think it sucks and I like the old pop-up window better.

Try this:
Go into Start,
Then Control Panel
Then Add/Remove Programs
Once there click on Change or Remove Programs.
If the program is there delete it.

Go to Tools and Addons and you'll get a pop-up list of your Add-ons. Go through the list until you find the Download Status Bar. Click it to highlight it. You'll see an uninstall button. Click it.

Tools, Addons and select the one to uninstall.
