Hi, I just bought this Goodmans Dvd Recorder from Asda today, I haven't taken it out of the box as of yet, but I have read some online reviews about this Dvd Recorder, and it has a very poor write up, so can anyone please put my mind at rest, and tell me if they actually own one if it is worth keeping??? Otherwise I will take it back, I am just wondering whether it was worth buying after reading a review on it!

Like everything in life, with electronics you get what you pay for. Buy cheap, and you will have a highly inferior sound, picture and build quality, I'm afraid.

Goodmans kit always gets poor reviews because it's, well, just not very good (along with Alba, Bush, Luxor, HiSense, Beko, Mikomi, Venturer, Matsui, Videoseven, Techwood, Proline, Orion, Maxim, Logic, Funai, Diboss, etc.). Check out the home cinema and hi-fi magazines for the experts opinions.

Take a look at kit from Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, etc. at around £250. You'll enjoy your movies a whole lot more!
