thought he was kidnapped or something, the police closed the case saying he was most like deceased. About 2 months ago i went to the circus with my daughter and sure enough my son was there working as a person who cleans up after the animals. He recognized us but refused to talk. he is currently 10 years old, is there any way i can get custody of him back?

If this is a remotely serious question (I'm hoping you were actually curious as to this)--yes you can. A 10 yr old cannot live on his own b/c he is not legally allowed to make his own choices. Until he is 18 he is a minor.

The police did not close the case b/c the case would remain open until solved. You actually have to prove someone is dead.

If your 16 year old runs off with her boyfriend, she can be picked up by the police and using force, be brought back to your home.

Legally, the wants and considerations of a child are not considered b/c they are not legally able to make decisions as the brain is not fully developed. They cannot enter into any contract (so beware if you sell a car to a 15 yr old--his parents can demand a full refund), cannot decide where they wish to live, and are considered wards of their parents.

Notify the police that you have located your son. There must be some law regarding keeping a 5 yr. old without notifying the police about it. You don't need to Get custody of him back you never lost custody of him.

Why are you asking this question HERE?!?! Go to the police and tell them what you believe has happened. Then get an attorney so you have some one who can guide you through the legal process.

Hmm... I just have to say that this is a very strange story. But I would talk to a lawyer, because obviously the police aren't going to admit they were wrong very easily. Yeah talk to a lawyer and find out what options you have.

yes... if you are really his parent you are responsible for him still... go get your son and get him some physiological help as well. He needs some help...Why is he running away? Is he unhappy for some reason you may not even be aware of... Go get him asap...
