purchase a dress that fits the chest area and have it altered to fit around the waist. It really isn't that expensive. I always fit the biggest part of the body and then alter to fit the rest.

I was recently in a wedding with this same situation. I was one of three girls that are larger... We ended up with halter topped dresses from David's bridal... but I really don't suggest that. We.. the three of us... were very uncomfortable in the dresses. And, the photographer has to be super careful what pictures are taken or you will see the girls if you know what I mean. Try the two piece collections.. then the tops are custom fitted for each girl... regular or large girl... and they will still all fit and be just alike. Good luck.

The separates collection at Alfred Angelo, and to a lesser extent David's Bridal. This way, the larger size can be purchased for the top, and a smaller size for the bottom, with no extra fees.

Also, you could have the girls wear different tops, for a unified yet slightly personalized look.

Please ask the bridal shop about styles that fit women with larger chests. I have a huge chest, and find it very difficult with many of the styles available right now. I simply cannot wear strapless or halter, as they just don't make strapless bras, etc in 38ddd.

I am MOH in my cousin's wedding, and I had to flat out tell her I couldn't wear the dress she had picked. It looked obscene on me by anyone's definition. I couldn't go into a church in that dress. We picked a different dress everyone could live with. The dress is by Alfred Angelo, and they have alot of styles that could work for larger busted women. And, our dresses were only about $169.-not too bad.

I know its your day, and you should be able to pick the style of dress you want, but please remember you asked those women to be a pert of your bridal party because you love them, and you wouldn't want them to feel unconfortable, I'm sure. Plus, think of how your pix will look!

Try David's Bridal. They have dresses to fit up to size 26, so you will be able to fit their chests, and then the rest of the dress can be altered.

My wife had problems finding dresses for her bridesmaids so she tried something different. She told them all to find a black dress that they felt comfortable in and could wear again. She gave them rules about length, sleeved/sleeveless/strapless, etc in order to get the look she wanted. Then they all got matching wraps that drew out one of our colors. It worked great and no one was stuck with a dress that they wouldn't wear again.

That is a hard one I had the same problem. I finally found one they are very hard to come across. I ended up going to the house of brides. Took over a year to find them.

No strapless, no spaghetti straps, no halters, no cross-over bodice. How about something with a flowing boat or cowl-type neckline, or a simple v-neck? You have to go with fitting the upper body, then can alter the waist if you have to.
