did paul walker own a nissan skyline, but he registered under a different name so that it becomes legal in the US?

Paul Walker did own a Skyline R34. It was featured on Import Tuner some years back. It was a white one, I believe.

It became legal in the US because it was imported by a reputable company and made it US legal (crash tests, emissions, etc.etc.).

Once again... far simpler then all this. Yes, Paul Walker imported his through Motorex and paid tons of $$$ to make the owners of Motorex rich, not help his car get legal.

You can import street legal skylines through Canada for as little as $7K for a R32. They are street legal and insurable.

Skylines have passed all US crash tests, the only thing that keeps them illegal is emisions which is fixed with a couple hundred bucks in parts.
