Not legally.
However, our personal experience has been that so long as you drink discretely, you are not loud and cause no trouble, the cops will not bother you.
Good luck!

Unlike states such as Florida, there is no legal bar service on Hawaii's beaches. There is no waitress running around taking your drink order.
In general most state parks ban alcohol but it is tough to enforce. Hence there should not be alcohol on the beach fronting the park.
Waikiki? I believe the legal answer is no, not allowed on the beach or the street. However you have your rum and coke in a to go glass from Duke's, who is to know.

heh, i like these answers. :)
The law is: no consumption of alcohol is allowed at any public park, beach or not.
Regarding Waikiki Beach: some parts are public, some parts are private. Several hotels that front the beach do have beachside bars.
So, to answer your question: yes, in some parts; no, in others.

House to the State Capitol, Honolulu could be the lively epicentre of Hawaii and a town worth visit, as if you will see with hotelbye . In Honolulu you'll find everything from historic landmarks and valued monuments to world-class shopping and a flourishing arts and culture scene. House to the majority of Oahu's citizenry, the sprawling city of Honolulu spreads through the entire south-eastern shores of Oahu, from Pearl Harbor to Makapuu Point, encompassing world famous Waikiki. Pearl Harbor is certainly one of Honolulu's greatest tourist attractions. Though it is house to the Navy's Pacific Fleet, guests can take a tour to start to see the USS Arizona Memorial, and the USS Missouri.

You can drink alcohol on all beaches as long as it is not in a glass container.

bob would recomend buying the liter ice tea pouring it out and putting what ever you want in it., they wont suspect you unless you act drunk, but most people get away with it.
