Matthew 10:34 - Here Jesus is merely prophecying what would happen. Belief in him would divide people. That is not a violent outburst or a threat.
John 2:15 - Actually this is one of two instances where Jesus drove the money changers and the merchants out of the temple. Jesus was expressing RIGHTEOUS INDIGNATION. He was rightly upset that commerce had taken over what should have been a place of worship for his Father.
Besides, are you saying that no past Nobel Peace Price recipients ever had an angry outburst? Punched a wall? Threw something at a wall? You think Al Gore never pitches a fit?

No. And you know Jesus didn't expect anything from this pitiful planet but just what He got!
Your questions are fascinating. I am a Christian so I guess you don't like me, but you are One Intelligent and Witty Dude, Nolte!! You don't think I'm serious but I am. I wish I was smart enough to have an answer that would suffice, but I never do and never will!! Seriously. And I know to leave you alone and let you be. @8-)
P.S. There are days when I am hee-hawing at your style and the things you come right out with, and I have to stop and reassure God that I can't help it and that He has to admit you are an Extremely Clever Man!! Please don't stop (as if you would). Make us think. It hurts at first, but it's good for people. You do scare me sometimes though, because I can't let you tear me away from God. @8-) Peace.

Jesus wouldn't be interested in the Nobel peace prize. Amazing how you pull two verses out of hundreds and you think you have a gauge on the man. Kind of like reading a by-line in a newspaper and judging someone based off that.

I doubt if Jesus cares about the Nobel Peace Prize. He doesn't need man's approval. If you get whomped by Jesus you deserved it. Read the whole text next time as to why Jesus did the things He did. You guys pick things out of context to suit your wrong views. God is a God of judgement as well as a God of love. Take your pick.

Even Ghandi sounds threatening out of context.
1st quote: Sending out the Apostles to counteract evil.
2nd quote: There were money changers in the temple, and act of blasphemy.
Don't distort Bible passages just to promote your agenda. You're as bad as the people you rail against.

wow. John 2:15 ... that sounds a bit violent of jesus...
i like how everyone ignores this.... claims there are hundreds of things jesus did that were good.
so in christian logic if i go murder 1 person, it can be negated if i feed 100 homeless people right?

Why do you think anger is bad. Anger is a great motivator for doing good. Many good changes have been made because people got mad.
Anger is an emotion, how you use it determines whether it is good or bad.
AND
If those passages are all you got from reading the teachings of Jesus, I feel sorry for you.

No, they are the actions of an upset man who found people desecrating his Temple. They were disrespecting the Temple, and so he drove them out.
Wouldn't you do the same if you found a bunch of people destroying your house? I know I would.

people will get in arguements over Christ. He knew it would happen, that's why he said it. and isn't it happening?
Jesus would win the Noble Peace prize. He even told us how violent the world's gunna be and how to avoid it. But, you know mankind....
