No we don't. There are plenty of answers where Christians don't quote the Bible. However, the Bible is the perfect Word of God. It is the only true source of Godly information. Why do you accept answers where someone quotes from a science book? It was written just by some man. Many scientific facts have changed over the years, but you still listen. The Word of God and its principals have stood the test of time. God is the same, yesterday, today and tomorrow. If you can't believe the Bible then you shouldn't believe any book written by man. By the way Historians have backed up many of the truths of the Bible.

I've mentioned this before as well. I hate that. If you are trying to prove something, it's illogical to use a book to prove it. Even more so with religion, because the modern belief in Jesus is based on this book, and obviously those who don't believe in Jesus don't believe the book (at least wholly).
In addition, the absurdities in the Bible negate any credibility it might have had. Arguments should be supported by unbiased texts/information.
I wish people would realized that you can't quote a book in order to support the authenticity/truth of the book. That does not make any sense, whatsoever, logically.
My goodness, they can't stop. They're even quoting the dang thing to answer this question.

It depends on what you are asking. If you are asking about Christianity or the Bible, then they will quote the textbook to prove that they didn't just make up the answer.
===edit==
You mean you never quoted a song lyric or a famous person just to show that someone else (someone important) agreed with you?

Actually its a volume of books written by over 40 different authors, not just 1.
Many of us quote the Bible not because we know everyone has an undying devotion to the LORD, but so that anybody reading can know that the wisdom and truth we share is not our own but Gods. Also it helps unbelievers to understand the Bible better.

That book is our guide, our "light in the darkness". Not ALL Christians use the Bible to answer if it isn't called for. But, if you notice a lot of people who ask questions, ask about specific quotes. I admit quoting the Bible to someone who doesn't read it might not be effective.

I already disagree with the question's assertion that it's 'just a book'.
To 'Christians' it is not 'just a book', but teh wisdom of God. Unfortunately, many have allowed 'other things' into it also. Those additions (and subtractions in some cases) is part of what is dividing 'Christianity' presently in the USA!!!
As for 'quoting the Bible' for questions, many may be indicating it is not 'their think so' but God's say so.

What else would any religionist rely as TEXT which convinces or attempts to?Is not "Scripture" the place one would go to in order sound as if This Scripture or that, had inequivocably THE TRUTH, as far as any religion goes.
Where else would someone get information that would convince more than not?
Their own deductions?
How many independently or uniquely minded people would be believe, without some great and ancient book or another - to convince or influence into any religious indoctrination, through their own opinions?
As Homey the clown would have certainly said : As far as THAT goes, "I don't think so!"

Many of them don't know how else to answer and it shows they are unable to think for themselves, thus making a person discount anything they say without trying. You can answer a question without quoting scripture every time and the sky will not fall on your head.
Others simply don't care that it annoys people, even when told politely that they're not interested. For some, polite doesn't even cut it.

They think that quotes from a book are valid arguments that should be accepted at face value. They don't understand why this is bad.

It's not just a book. It is the Word of God. Inspired by God, it has authority like no other book. I understand that quoting th Bible to someone who does not believe it is valid may not prove their point. But there are many outside sources that confirm that what the Bible says is true. So I use those outside sources when talking to a non believer.
