You just lost half the Christians here who think there is no gravity in space.

Even tho I know you are trying to just get a rise out of Christians, I do believe there is no such thing as a true atheist.

I have had two really good friends who claimed to be atheist. Both died of a terminal illness. Both cried out to God during their last days.....That says a lot to me........

Also I know people who also claim to be atheists that curse like a sailor ( not sayinf that all do by any means ) The thing that throws me is that they say g.d. all the time. They use God's name in vain all the time....My point is , why would you curse someone you do not believe in ??

Nope, say what you will, But I believe there aren't many true atheists, if any.

Sean, an Atheist says there is no god. That statement requires a burden of proof. In making that statement, you also presume to know everything there is know in the world, which is an impossibility. If you did, then YOU would be God. (The god of shampoo maybe?)

So rather what an Atheist is, technically, is one who has made the assumption in his or her life and world view that there is no god for him or her. You can't possibility state that there is no god nor ever was one without the assumption of total knowledge. And we all know you haven't been alive since time began, right?

So in short, Atheists are really just strong Agnostics. But hey, you know what? I don't think it's a point to quibble over, call yourself whatever you like.

Me, I wonder what chuch people think and ponder in the privacy of their own minds.

Surely they must suspect the outrageous tales told in the Bible, and the odd behaviours of the Bible god....

Who cares whether there are atheists or not, the real question is how can seeminly normal people believe the nonsense in the Bible, starting with Adam and Eve and their talking snake... And up to and including Jesus' magical float into the sky.
