1.5 liters is the recommended amount. You could be stressing your kidneys with that much water--unless you're very active and sweating a lot.

No, as long as you are getting proper nutrients, otherwise you could be deplete your body's electrolytes, which can even lead to dizzyness, fatigue, confusion, and loss of motor control (runners have to be careful of this.
Also, you can become "water drunk" if you consume too much water and you will die. This would take more than a gallon. A friend of mine drinks at least 2 gallons of water a day, but he also takes vitamins. The risk is that the water cleans nutrients from your body.

with your actual efforts it extremely is approximately top. often, a man or woman could drink a minimum of 64oz in line with day. recently, some have reported you will drink water whilst he/she is thirsty. If a man or woman with widely used daily activities drank a gallon of water that must be way too lots. Ones electrolytes might get out of whack extremely rapid, and admittedly that must be a catastrophe waiting to ensue.

nope. and if you are physically active such as a bodybuilder, athlete, or simply exercising then you need much more than that. the average person needs a gallon or 8 glasses a day in order to maintain healthy body functions. so keep up the good work and drink up!
