What is your opinion on online dating?? Have you used it before? Has it been successful for you?? I've been using online dating on/off for a few years now. I used to be so excited about it now I dread it. I "forget" to return emails and phone calls. None of the guys, despite being really attractive impress me. I've had some success with other outlets. I live in the Washington D.C area so i'm always meeting people. So am I only one who isnt so thrilled about possibly meeting someone online?
btw: if you have something mean to say about me, keep it to yourself!

If you have the opportunity to meet "live" people you are ahead of the game. The internet wouldn't compare. I would rather see the real face and then pursue from there if I was interested.

I gave up on meeting Mr. Right at a bar, or at work, or through a friend. So I joined AmericanSingles.com because I felt I had nothing to lose. Dating is a crap shoot no matter how you slice it.
Let me tell you...
I went out on an amazing date with a guy back in July 2003, and we were married in April 2005 and we have a beautiful little boy together.
Sometimes, it take a while to find that one person. Its a big planet. But I think if you persevere, you'll find him.

I think it could be quite risky, but then again stepping outside of your house is risky. It's something people are dong and it is your choice you just need to use your head and be smart about it and if/when you meet the people meet them in a public place. I don't know at 1st it seemed like it was kinda interesting but I think everyone is doing it and I think to many un-honest people are on there now. It's to scary for me. But it's your choice, I have nothing bad to say about your choice.

for me personally the online dating has not worked. I have had several friends that have loved it and 2 have met their spouses online. It does work but you ahve to be more open minded about the people you meet.
I was told repeatedly that was my problem so I am beginning to think maybe they are right. LOL

Hun,you just answer your own question.On line dating is not for you anymore so use your other sources.I personally don't trust on line dating,but that doesn't mean it doesn't work for other people.I just like meeting people physically and looking them in the face and getting to know them.You're in Washington let that work for you ,you it to your advantage.Good luck
